Job summary

Peraton is seeking a motivated product quality SYSTEM ENGINEER in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. This position involves supporting planning, test development, and task execution for new and existing products within the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence.

The ideal candidate should have a BS in System Engineering or related field, knowledge of system engineering concepts, and strong communication skills. This role is critical to ensure the visual quality and accuracy of products, working closely with a diverse team of experts.

This position is 100% onsite; remote or hybrid work is not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Top Secret clearance and willingness to upgrade to TS/SCI.
• BS with 2-4 years of experience or MS with 0-2 years.
• Knowledge/training in independent testing and data verification.

Job description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated product quality SYSTEM ENGINEER to support the planning, test development, data definition, and task execution for new and existing products within the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG). They will work with a team of image scientists, image analysts, photogrammetrists, and statisticians to perform specific tasks, track issues, and clearly communicate status and results to multiple stakeholders.

The mission spans many data providers and sensor phenomenologies including electrical-optical, RADAR, LIDAR, OPIR, motion, multi- and hyper-spectral. We work to verify and validate product visual quality, as well as the accuracy of the support data. The qualified candidate should have interest in learning more about test design to verify and validate products against requirements to meet planned concept of operations. The ideal candidate will have image science or imagery analysis knowledge ready to apply to the challenges of the group. Good written and verbal communication and teamwork is critical.

Location: This position is 100% onsite in King of Prussia, PA. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

Required Experience/Education

• Must have a minimum of a Top Secret clearance and willing to upgrade clearance to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- Contract requires TS/SCI with poly.
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Software Engineering, or a related Science or Engineering. BS with 2-4 Years of experience or MS with 0-2 years of experience.
• Knowledge/training of system engineering concepts, to include independent testing and data verification, requirements, and development of concept of operations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with emphasis on briefing to obtain decisions and solve technical issues and test plans/reports writing.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn, solve problems and perform in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Skillset

• Knowledge of sensor imaging systems, products, and exploitation processes.
• Knowledge of image product tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination (TCPED).
