Job summary

Planned Systems International (PSI) seeks a Systems Engineer to support end-to-end systems engineering for the highly sensitive AEMI program at Hurlburt Field, FL. You will collaborate with multiple teams to integrate program-of-record systems, perform performance analyses, and ensure lifecycle MBSE practices are applied consistently.

Ideal candidates will have ABET-accredited engineering education, a minimum of seven years in systems engineering, and an active T3 investigation.

Qualifications

• BS in Systems or other Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 7 years experience in Systems Engineering.
• Active T3 investigation with ability to obtain/maintain required clearances for access to classified information.
• Knowledge of Special Operations, SOCOM, and C4ISR systems.
• Knowledge of military tactical data links, encryption equipment, and radio communication devices.
• Knowledge of DoD information assurance, policy, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of and experience in LAN design, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment.
• Experience in designing and managing complex systems over the product life cycle.
• Ensures integration and factoring product support concerns into developed solutions.
• Experience applying systems engineering principles per ISO/IEC/IEEE 24641:2023.
• Experience with configuration management standards such as EIA 649.

PSI is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support project leaders from various teams leading the end-to‑end systems engineering and mission critical project execution. This is an amazing opportunity to directly support the global Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Enhanced Mission Integration (AEMI) program at Hurlburt Field, FL.

You will be part of the Enduring Product Management Engineering and Development team supporting the AEMI program on Hurlburt Field on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida. This team is made up of various engineering disciplines to cover the breadth of AFSOC mission sets and has several active projects that will require you to jump right in to support. As a member of the Life Cycle Management Team you will be co‑located with essential elements of the team ensuring high standards of scrutiny and collaboration.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

• BS in Systems or other Engineering discipline from institution recognized by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) for approved curriculum.

• Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
• Knowledge of Special Operations, SOCOM, and C4ISR systems.
• Knowledge of military tactical data links, encryption equipment, and radio communication devices.
• Knowledge of DoD information assurance, policy, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of and experience in Local Area Network (LAN) design, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment.
• Experience in the design and managing complex systems over the product life cycle.
• Ensures integration and factoring product support concerns into developed solutions.
• Experience in applying systems engineering principles as identified in ISO/IEC/IEEE 24641:2023.
• Experience with configuration management industry standards such as EIA 649.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds independently as part of regular job duties.
