Job summary

Actalent in Chantilly, VA is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to support radar system development from initial design through integration and test. You will collaborate with RF, Mechanical, Electrical and Software teams to guide system architecture and performance, delivering trade-space assessments with the Project Engineer.

Expert-level experience in radar or signal processing, strong detail orientation, and willingness to travel are preferred.

Qualifications

• Primary Experience: Strong attention to detail and work ethic. Experience working with a team to jointly develop a system during the development lifecycle. Laboratory knowledge including setup and use of Linux-based system integration, test, and execution Willingness to travel (10%).
• Preferred Experience: (Optional) Matlab, Mathcad, or other Modeling Languages. Experience planning, reviewing, and executing integration and test events for combined hardware and software systems Ability to document and specify system and subsystem level requirements. Automated testing of software baselines Experience with Radar systems or similar signal processing systems. Experience working with MIL STDs for all types of test requirements (MIL-STD-454, MIL-STD-901, etc.).

Description

searching for a highly motivated and detail oriented Systems Engineer to support the development of Radar systems. Working closely with RF, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers, the Systems Engineer will guide the development of the Radar System from initial design, through finalization of the design, and finally through the integration and test events. The Systems Engineer is expected to provide system level trade-space assessments of approaches working with the Project Engineer to determine the benefit trade-offs. At Ultra Maritime, the Systems Engineer will have the opportunity to guide the development and selection of key technologies for the Navy and will have the opportunity to work with complex software algorithms and cutting-edge digital signal processing hardware. The Systems Engineer will have the opportunity to contribute to key strategic approaches for future proposals, IR&D, and additional development activities.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
