Job summary

Greenpoint Technologies in Bothell, WA seeks a Requirements Manager to lead deployment of requirements management processes for the Engineering Department, ensuring traceability and compliance throughout the aerospace project lifecycle.

You will develop substantiation and safety documentation, coordinate with engineers and clients, manage changes, and create verification plans to support aircraft modification programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or equivalent, 3+ years relevant experience, aviation background preferred.

Job description

Provides leadership in the deployment of requirements management processes and tools for the Engineering Department, ensuring effective management of project requirements throughout the aerospace project lifecycle. Supports the development of substantiation and safety documentation for aircraft modification projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of requirements management tools and processes, promoting best practices within the organization.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders, including engineers, designers, and clients, to gather, analyze, and translate high-level business needs into detailed technical requirements.
  • Creates clear and concise requirement documents, including functional specifications, system requirements, and design specifications, while maintaining traceability between requirements and project deliverables.
  • Manages changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle and supports the assessment of their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develops substantiation and safety documents (e.g., Functional Hazard Assessment, System Safety Analysis, Equipment Qualification Summaries, Functional Test Procedures), creates verification test plans based on requirements, and participates in validation activities to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Identifies and assesses risks related to requirements, proposes mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
  • Identifies and reports metrics related to requirements management to project leaders.
  • Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work, and working full shifts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Systems Engineering or equivalent, a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aviation background and aircraft interior experience preferred.

Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., 14 CFR Part 25, DO-160, DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754) is preferred.
  • Experience using requirements management tools such as PTC Codebeamer software is preferred.
  • Ability to work constructively with other departments to gain consensus regarding requirements applicable to each program.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft engineering processes.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, use hands to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.

The expected WA salary range for this position is between $90,000.00 - $ 124,000.00 . Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
