Systems Electrical Inspector

Project Overview:

The Purple Line is a 16-mile light rail line extending from Bethesda in Montgomery County to New Carrollton in Prince George's County. It connects to the Metrorail Red, Green, and Orange Lines, as well as MARC, Amtrak, and local bus services. Owned by the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA), the project involves design, construction, operation, and maintenance by Purple Line Transit Partners (PLTP) for 35 years.

Position Overview:

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team to contribute to a safe and reliable transit system. As an Electrical Inspector, you will oversee the electrical installation of the systems, requiring knowledge of electrical codes, strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate across teams. This full-time position is based in our Riverdale, MD project office and involves outdoor fieldwork, including walking on uneven terrain in various weather conditions. Weekend and night work may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review electrical system installations for compliance with specifications and electrical codes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex issues involving interfacing systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
