Job summary

Google is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join a team of hardware test engineers responsible for prototype bring-up, validation, and qualification of server, networking, and optical platforms.

You will liaise between engineering design and test teams to ensure lab resources are ready for new products entering the R&D labs and support sustaining and debug efforts, while keeping labs organized and safe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 2 years in systems administration or 1 year with advanced degree.
• Experience with network administration and lab-based projects.

Responsibilities

• Define tasks, coordinates activities, deliverables and schedules.
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver network connectivity solutions.
• Maintain Platforms Infrastructure Engineering labs across campuses.
• Troubleshoot Linux systems and lab-related issues.
• Configure and deploy network gear for new lab deployments.
