Job summary

Google is seeking a Networking Test Engineer in Sunnyvale to design, test and validate high‑scale networking hardware and software powering Google’s services. You will work with our Platforms Team on complex devices and networking protocols, writing test plans, automation scripts and performing regression testing.

You will have hands‑on experience with networking equipment, IP protocols and test methodologies, and contribute to the reliability and performance of Google’s global network at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with network equipment and network protocols testing and debugging.
• Experience in test automation using Python or C++.
• Experience with test methodologies, writing test plans and creating test cases.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report bugs, escalating complex issues to senior engineers or managers.
• Develop and execute test plans, including automated scripts and regression testing of Google platforms.
• Manage testing and releases of networking products, including timelines and project plans.
• Write and review test plans with teams, gathering requirements to test networking features of moderate to high complexity.
