Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. invites engineering interns to join a hands-on program focused on system engineering across a variety of tech areas.

You will collaborate with mentors to build, test, and deploy scalable tools and services that power customer experiences globally. The internship emphasizes ownership, learning-by-building, and exposure to cloud-native, distributed systems, and ML-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• Experience coding, scripting, automating in at least one language (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell)
• 18 years of age or older
• Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum

Responsibilities

• Create, improve, or invent tools and/or applications that are a part of a larger system
• Build and operate a supportable product or service, and make significant technical contributions
• Write code that is secure, stable, testable, maintainable and has minimal defects
• Understand a variety of technologies and how they interact with one another
• Build systems and processes that enable others through improved safety, agility, and automation
