Job summary

Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany GmbH - R28 is seeking an SDE intern to work on scalable cloud-native services and AI-enabled tooling. You will own design, development, and deployment of features in a fast-paced, mentor-driven environment.

Interns work full-time in an office setting with Monday–Friday schedules, typically 8am–5pm, and are expected to commit 3 to 6 months. Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a current STEM degree pursuit.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/CE/DS/IS or related STEM field.
• Expected graduation between Oct 2026 - Sep 2029.
• Experience with at least one of Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Experience with data structures, basic algorithms, and object-oriented design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, build, and operate innovative products and services that delight customers.
• Design and develop scalable cloud-native solutions and microservices in a large distributed environment.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable and cost-effective.
• Leverage AI tools to improve development productivity and stay current with emerging tech.
