Job description

Systems Development Engineer, ADC2S - USACO

ADC2S is seeking a talented DevOps/Systems Development Engineer to own automating operational and business practices. You should be a self-starter with a bias towards independent problem solving. This will include identifying and resolving issues, as well as automating and improving repetitive processes. You will become familiar with our system architecture and be responsible for deep diving into code to develop solutions for our customers and services. You’ll prioritize operational issues and drive automation design and scaling to support the wider organization.

You must be detail-oriented, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and be able to manage multiple tasks independently. Maintaining professionalism under pressure, proactively identifying potential problems, and implementing preventative solutions are essential. You should also be capable of accurately prioritizing projects, making sound judgments, and focusing on improving the customer experience.

This role requires the candidate to currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain the same with polygraph or equivalent clearance for each government agency involved in AWS work.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 1+ years designing or architecting systems, focusing on reliability and scalability.
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, and operating systems fundamentals.
  • Experience programming in at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI or above.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage, and systems engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree or CSSLP certification.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
