Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking an experienced infrastructure engineer to join our Bellevue, WA team. You will provision and manage AWS infrastructure, build dashboards, and collaborate across teams to ensure reliable access to services.

The role emphasizes automation, scalability, and security controls across EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, and GovCloud. You'll work with multiple languages and CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
  • Experience programming with Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provision and manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2 and CloudFormation.
  • Build dashboards and alarming to drive operational excellence.
  • Work with a wide range of technologies and AWS products.
  • Build AWS application environments including VPC, EC2, RDS, SSM, S3.
  • Architect and set up infrastructure on AWS and GovCloud environments.
  • Analyze and support connectivity of new devices to applications.
  • Monitor network connectivity between internal and external systems.
  • Collaborate with Application leads to plan infrastructure demands.
  • Drive automation of routine tasks to scale operations.
  • Maintain hardware architecture documentation for all infrastructure components.

Leo security owns policy and definition of controls, and this role owns the coordination, development, implementation, and change management of controls as well as managing defects and improvements.

Key job responsibilities
  • Provision and manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2, CloudFormation Templates, AppStream, and Load Balancers.
  • Build dash boarding and alarming to drive operational excellence.
  • Work with a wide range of technologies, and AWS products.
  • Build AWS Application Environments including VPC, EC2, RDS, SSM, S3.
  • Architect and setup infrastructure on AWS and AWS gov-cloud environments.
  • Analyze and Support setup of new devices connectivity to applications.
  • Monitor network connectivity between all internal and external systems.
  • Work closely with Application leads to understand needs and plan for infrastructure demands.
  • Drive automation of routine tasks to help scale the operations.
  • Maintain hardware architecture documentation for all infrastructure and networking components.
