Job summary

Nucor Warehouse Systems is seeking a qualified engineer for Monroe, GA to design and document rack systems. You will create drawings and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Production to support projects from quotation to order.

The role requires experience in racking, proficiency with AutoCAD, and familiarity with 3D Autodesk tools (Inventor or Revit). Strong teamwork and safety focus are essential for success in this environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in the racking / material handling industry.
• Expert command of AutoCAD design software.

Responsibilities

• Create system approval drawings, permit drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for customers as needed during the quotation and order phases.
• Collaborate and communicate with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Project Management to support successful client projects.
• Generate quotation packages and final detail packages for complex rack systems including selective rack, cantilever, dynamic systems, drive‑in rack, and pick modules.
• Interpret engineering calculations to help design systems, basic math to calculate system weights, and an expert grasp of graphic standards.
