Job summary

Dominion Energy seeks an Intern - Associate Project Designer (System Design) to assist in overhead and underground distribution system design. You will allocate materials, estimate time and cost for subdivision construction and relocation of facilities within assigned areas.

Role includes site inspections, sketches, permits, right-of-way coordination, and customer communications. Expect up to 60% office work and 40% field duty, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a 4-year or 2-year program.
• 2.5 GPA or higher required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Design distribution facilities based on load and existing systems.
• Inspect work sites, determine metering and prepare sketches.
• Prepare cost estimates for new construction or modification.
• Obtain ROW/easement permits and coordinate with customers.
• Assist in service restoration and communicate requirements to customers.
