Job summary

Fervo Energy invites an intern to join our Systems Completion Engineering team for a 12-week summer project. You will engage with an expansion joint supplier, contribute to in-house or EPC specifications, and deliver a capstone project culminating in a cost database and methodology for relevant equipment.

You will present your work to the executive leadership team and fellow interns, gaining real responsibility and exposure to senior leadership during the program.

Internship Overview

You won't be running coffee orders or shuffling paperwork this summer. Position Description

Fervo Energy is developing next-generation geothermal power to deliver firm, carbon-free energy at scale. Our flagship Cape Station development in Milford, Utah is one of the largest next-generation geothermal developments in the world, and our Houston headquarters houses the engineering, commercial, and corporate teams driving Fervo's growth. As a Systems Completion Engineering Intern, you'll work directly with an expansion joint supplier and help develop in-house or EPC specifications for the Powerblock team, culminating in a capstone project: a cost database and methodology you'll own end-to-end.

Required Qualifications

• Rising Junior, Senior bachelor’s candidate wrapping up within the next year,— we're building a pipeline toward full-time offers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to stakeholders and leadership
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and adapt quickly to new challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering or similar degrees preferred
• Comfort working independently on a defined deliverable
