Job summary

Walmart in New Caney, TX is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to lead and develop a team of associates within the distribution network. You will supervise daily operations, ensure training on policies, monitor productivity and quality, and apply data insights to optimize staffing and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or Associate’s Degree with supervision experience.
• 1 year experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring and developing employees; or 3 years supervisory experience in IS/Logistics.
• Experience with Walmart Logistics applications or similar systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and or in writing (customers, suppliers, associates).
• Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on logistics and company policies, standards and procedures.
• Monitor associate compliance to policies and procedures, distributing and maintaining procedures.
• Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback.
• Identify training and development needs and participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, and evaluation.
• Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
• Identify concerns and determine corrective action or recommendations to resolve issues.
• Implement the business plan by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling.
• Manage systems operations and ensure associates understand procedures for systems operations and safety.
• Ensure adherence to policies, standards and procedures related to systems operations.
• Respond to customer compliance and operational issues to prevent recurrence.
• Build high-performing teams and foster belonging and collaboration.
• Communicate with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence.
• Attract, retain and develop talent, recognizing contributions and accomplishments.
