Job summary

Compatible Technology Solutions, Inc. seeks a senior-level Systems Architect to guide the design and development of complex solutions, APIs, data and platform services to meet requirements and align with Enterprise Architecture goals.

The role supports guidance across mid- and junior-level architects, with emphasis on DoDAF, IC/DoD programs, and NGA/NSG/ASG projects. Location options include Patriot Ridge, Springfield, VA or Chantilly, VA.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in relevant architecture roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM or equivalent experience.
• Experience with NGA/NSG/ASG programs and IC/DoD work.

Responsibilities

• Guide the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures with traceability to Enterprise requirements.
• Guide analysis of user requirements to automate or improve systems and review capabilities and scheduling limitations.
• Guide development of proposed changes to architecture based on requirements and new technology.

Job description

Senior-level Systems Architects guide the design and development of solutions for complex applications problems, API design, data services, platform services, cloud services and infrastructure services to meet user requirements and align to strategic goals and the Enterprise Architecture.

Location: Patriot Ridge (Springfield, VA) or Chantilly, VA

Duties:

• Guides Mid-Level and Junior-Level systems architects in the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures ensuring traceability to the Enterprise architecture and Enterprise requirements.
• Guides the analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
• Guides Mid-level and Junior-level systems architects in the development of proposed changes to the solutions architecture design based on analysis of requirements and new technology.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 12+ to 18 yrs experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
• 12+ years of experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas including: Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), or Intelligence Community’s (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG).
• Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
• Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.

Desired Skills & Experiences:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
• Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
• Federated Enterprise Architect Certifications: Certified Enterprise Architect.
