Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Systems Architect on MeshMesh to shape the technical foundation and long-term architecture of our mesh networking platform, collaborating with engineering leaders to ensure the system scales with customer demand.

Systems Architect

As a Systems Architect on MeshMesh, you will shape the technical foundation and long-term architecture of our mesh networking platform, working closely with engineering leaders to ensure the system scales with customer demand.

Responsibilities

• Define and document the overall system architecture across services and components.
• Evaluate technical trade-offs and guide major design decisions.
• Partner with engineering leads to ensure architectural consistency as the platform grows.
• Identify scalability, performance, and reliability risks early and design solutions to address them.

Required Skills/Experience

• You have 10-15 years of experience.
• You have significant experience architecting distributed systems at scale.
• You are skilled at communicating complex technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You have experience guiding architecture across multiple engineering teams.
• You are an Agentic Engineer - you understand how to design systems and workflows that leverage Claude and modern AI coding tools (agent loops, tool use, context engineering) to accelerate delivery.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• You have prior experience with networking, mesh, or edge-computing systems.
• You have experience in a platform or infrastructure product used by other engineering teams.

The typical base salary range for this position is $218,400 - $365,200 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $263,200 - $401,400 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
