Job summary

Analytica LLC in Bethesda, MD seeks a Systems Architect–Infrastructure to lead design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable IT infrastructure supporting analytics and ML.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, performance, and security, while enabling modern data workloads. This senior role balances strategic architecture with hands-on execution in a fast-paced federal contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior infrastructure engineering or architecture role (Level III or equivalent).
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) and/or hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Experience designing and supporting infrastructure for data platforms, analytics, or machine learning workloads.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, compute, and storage architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure environments.
• Oversee infrastructure planning, deployment, and ongoing maintenance across cloud and/or hybrid environments.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of systems supporting data, analytics, and machine learning workloads.
• Collaborate with data, application, and security teams to align infrastructure solutions with program requirements.
• Define and implement infrastructure standards, best practices, and architectural patterns.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Support DevSecOps practices, including automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical guidance on infrastructure-related decisions

This role is ideal for a senior technical leader who can balance strategic infrastructure architecture with hands‑on execution.

The ideal candidate willplay a critical role in ensuring infrastructure reliability, performance, and security, while enabling modern data and AI/ML workloads. Working closely with cross‑functional technical leads, you will align infrastructure capabilities with program and mission requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards in regulated environments
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar
• Experience in federal or mission‑driven environments
