Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Systems Architect - Signal Integrity to lead system-level mechanical design for next-generation high-speed cable backplane products. You will serve as the primary technical interface with OEM customers, guiding engineering discussions and ensuring cross-team alignment.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in electrical engineering for electro-mechanical systems, strong CAD/thermal expertise, and proven ability to mentor engineers while communicating complex findings

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a Electrical Engineer supporting complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
  • Strong background in mechanical design principles such as tolerance analysis, materials behavior, and CAD modeling (ProE/SolidWorks preferred).
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams and engaging directly with OEM customers.
  • Familiarity with high-speed interconnect requirements including thermal considerations, mechanical alignment, and structural integrity.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical findings to clients and internal teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).

Job description

Piper Companies is looking for a Systems Architect - Signal Integrity to join a global leader in high-speed interconnect and cable technologies while providing senior-level technical leadership to support the design and development of advanced cable backplane solutions. The ideal Systems Architect - Signal Integrity will work remote role with some travel to customer locations.

Compensation/Benefits for the Systems Architect - Signal Integrity:
  • Salary Range: $140,000 - $190,000 depending on experience and location.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave (as required by law), and Holidays.
