Job summary

Sysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution and offers a paid 10-week summer internship for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/MIS. The program provides real projects and exposure to a Fortune 100 company, with a hybrid work arrangement in Houston and local candidates only.

Responsibilities include analyzing and evaluating existing systems, collaborating with an agile team, and documenting changes and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with concentrations in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 stated or implied in the posting.
• Advanced Excel capabilities and SQL knowledge required or preferred.
• Basic understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban and DevOps concepts.

Responsibilities

• Supports the analysis and evaluation of existing systems for performance.
• Collaborates with the agile team to configure package software when applicable.
• Defines potential improvements to resolve errors and improve maintainability.
• Simulates and tests performance improvements.
• Completes required documentation for deployment and teams.
