Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises, Inc. in Dahlgren, VA, seeks a Systems Analyst to support Surface Combat Systems Training Command.

You will perform high-level systems analysis for the International Programs Office, assess baseline changes, and determine training requirements to support FMS baselines and country-specific training needs. The role emphasizes reading design documents, evaluating interface diagrams, and recommending training system improvements to ensure readiness.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma and at least 6 years’ experience in the design operation and/or maintenance of complex U.S. Navy surface combat systems.
• Experience reading design documents and evaluating high level interface diagrams to support training requirements.
• Ability to translate technical information into practical training requirements and improvements.

Job description

• Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate opening for a Systems Analyst to support Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) in Dahlgren, VA.

Job Description

• Performs high level systems analysis support for the International Programs Office (N7I) supporting training readiness for international partners.
• Assess USN baseline changes and apply surface ship combat systems knowledge and experience to determine training requirements and training impacts to FMS baselines
• Considered technically competent on Aegis Combat System elements and applies knowledge to recommend changes in technical application and training requirements for FMS maintenance and operations courses taught by SCSTC.
• Evaluate training system capabilities and limitations and provide recommendations to training systems changes based on specific country surface ship training requirements.
• Assess, review, and present findings to government staff, including training system improvements and training recommendations.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma and at least 6 years’ experience in the design operation and/or maintenance of complex U.S. Navy Surface Combat Systems.
• Must have experience in the analysis and evaluation of recommended changes and in determining the impact on system readiness and user functionality.
• Must have experience in reading design documents, evaluating high level interface block diagrams, evaluating innovative designs incorporating commercial equipment, part task trainer emulations and simulations to create flexible and cost-effective training and readiness capabilities.

Desired Qualifications

• Recent surface ship combat system experience in operations, maintenance, and/or training, preferred.
• Instructor Experience and MTS a plus.
• Ability to apply surface combat systems knowledge to resolve complex problems and provide recommended technical and training solutions, preferred.
• Ability to communicate technical information in an understanding manner verbally and in writing, preferred.
• Experience with general Navy Surface Combat Systems and foreign disclosure operations, and information security process for classified material handling, preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. releasability and disclosure policies and guidance, preferred.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment with government civilian, military, and contractor personnel essential, preferred.

Security Requirements

• Must have an Active Secret clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance.

Travel Requirements

• Minimal travel required (10%).
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
