Pay Grade: $27.31-$43.69

Responsibilities:

1. Exhibit skills in HIS and CIS applications, including configuration, security, testing, training, and operational workflow for all assigned applications.
2. Assist with management of vendor relationships and contracts for software, services, equipment, and hardware. Maintain accurate records for HIPAA, historical accounting, and budgeting.
3. Help departments retrieve information in report formats for data analysis.
4. Assist users with system issues, including reporting, file/table maintenance, testing, training, and upgrades.
5. Evaluate vendors and applications.
6. Provide analytical and technical support to analysts, programmers, and documentation specialists.
7. Conduct feasibility studies for proposed applications.
8. Establish system parameters and ensure hardware/software compatibility.
9. Analyze data processing problems across various domains.
10. Document user requirements and procedures to improve systems.
11. Review system capabilities and limitations.
12. Evaluate and recommend system enhancements and modifications.
13. Determine operational changes for business solutions.
14. Assess new software and determine resource requirements.
15. Coordinate changes affecting applications or systems.
16. Monitor system operations and stay updated on technological developments.
17. Assist with application evaluations and represent the hospital at vendor meetings.
18. Prepare training materials and conduct end-user training.
19. Participate in project teams and create specifications, test plans, and strategies.
20. Ensure operational continuity in the absence of the manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or ten+ years of relevant experience.
• Healthcare and systems experience preferred.
• Skills in analysis, design, programming, and project management, especially in systems implementation.
• On-call availability required.
