The position can be hired at any of the levels listed below within the job family based on Education and years of Experience.

Areas for Focus:
  • Tripwire, Whitelist Profiler running in a NERC/CIP Environment
  • Ability to pass annual NERC Certification
  • Understanding of LINUX and Windows operating systems
  • Ability to write scripts (Powershell, cmd) in Windows and Bourne shell in Linux

Position Concept

A Systems Analyst develops applications; implements software packages, integrates applications, and provides 24x7 application support. Collaborates on all phases of the SDLC with a focus on application design, development, and implementation, utilizing appropriate development tools and technologies in line with the IT architecture.

Advancement in Progression

Advancement to a higher level is based on value added to the company through increased duties, responsibilities, and accomplishments. It is not automatic but based on performance, qualifications, and business needs.

Level 1 - Associate Systems Analyst

Develops software of limited complexity, provides primary support for applications, and participates in SDLC phases under supervision.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's in relevant disciplines or equivalent experience. Additional years of experience may substitute for education.

Licenses/Certifications: Preferred certifications in relevant disciplines.

Experience: Minimum one year in systems analysis, design, and development, or four years related experience with a high school diploma.

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of business software and hardware technologies, industry trends.
  • Good verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of project plans and ability to articulate roles and goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical design specifications.
