Overview
UPMC is looking for 3 Systems Analyst Associates to join their team. These positions will primarily be remote/work from home, however at times they require on-site work. UPMC is seeking candidates with familiarity in Radiology and PACS systems, particularly VUE PACS. If you have experience in this area, please ensure it is clearly outlined in your resume.
Responsibilities
- Application Upgrades and Implementations: responsible for activities related to all PACS application upgrades and implementations, including review and validation of functionality, reporting of issues, identifying new functionality and hardware requirements, and the ability to create test plans.
- First and Second Level Support (including PACS Application Maintenance Activities): triage support issues and escalate to the L2 Analyst as needed; partner with team members to troubleshoot support issues.
- Take L2 call coverage, including holidays, weekends, and off-hour support.
- Escalate appropriately to L3 team members within required timeframes.
- SDLC: have a fundamental knowledge of the system/application development life cycle.
- Vendor Relationships: interact with vendors on technical issues and project initiatives under the direction of more experienced team members, as necessary.
- Process Improvement: review and validate existing processes.
- Documentation: complete documentation/flow charting of system builds and maintain the team\'s existing documentation.
- Project Management: contribute to project tasks and milestones under the direction of a project manager or more experienced team members; update all project management and time-tracking tools accordingly.
- Communication: demonstrate clear, concise, and effective written and oral communication to support day-to-day work and projects.
- Interactions with Others: complete projects and initiatives with a team-first approach, collaborate with the team, and adapt to change as needed.
Qualifications
- Strongly prefer familiarity with Radiology and PACS systems.
- Strongly prefer experience with VUE PACS and production support.
- Experience with VUE PACS and production support is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern technology and application support through education or practical experience.
- Highly driven and self-motivated to meet expectations.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.
- Demonstrates understanding of IT fundamentals and the SDLC and applies that understanding to IT work within a UPMC department or function.
- Completes ongoing training on-the-job, through courses, self-study, certifications, and/or advanced degrees to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities.
- This position may require standby status as part of a rotation within the team, with 24/7 availability during standby periods. Frequency varies based on the number of colleagues in the rotation.
