Job summary

Tele-Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Systems Analyst in Newport, RI to support modernization of a DoD IETM system. You will collaborate with SMEs and engineering teams to ensure fidelity of technical data, and assist with QA and integration testing for new front-end implementations.

The role requires a BS in a technical field and familiarity with XML/XSLT and data transformation concepts. U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background check are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Design, Web Development, Information Technology, or other technical field from an accredited university.
• Familiarity with XML/XSLT, data transformation concepts, and structured content workflows.

Systems Analyst

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support modernization efforts for an existing DoD IETM system
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and engineering teams to maintain fidelity of technical data
• Support quality assurance and integration testing related to new front-end implementations

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Web Design, Web Development, Information Technology, or other technical related field from an accredited university (advanced certifications and the extent of practical experience may compensate for not having a degree)
• Familiarity with XML/XSLT, data transformation concepts, and structured content workflows

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience supporting NUWCDIVNPT, especially within the Undersea Warfare Electromagnetic System Department (Code 34)
• Experience developing DoD IETMs or other military technical writing products
• Experience with the U.S. Navy’s Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR)

The nature of this position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a thorough background investigation.

The primary location for performance of the work will be in Newport, RI with very limited travel, if any, required within the continental United States.
