Job summary

Acuity, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator in Beltsville, MD to support federal missions with IT modernization and security-focused operations.

You will install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, manage Active Directory, SQL Server, SCCM, O365/SharePoint and Azure, and ensure security compliance. Strong scripting with PowerShell is required, along with collaboration in a consultant team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• 2+ years Windows server experience (2012, 2016, 2019).
• Minimum of three (3) years specialized experience in Systems Administration supporting MS SQL Server, SCCM, O365/SharePoint and MS Azure.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Registry, Group Policy Objects.
• Proficiency scripting in PowerShell or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform system implementation, troubleshooting, and administration activities.
• Installation, training, support, monitoring, and maintenance of hardware and software.
• Troubleshooting and resolution of problems with communication, tracking, and reporting.
• Performing imaging, restores, and ongoing management of systems, software, and hardware.
• Creating, maintaining, tracking, and communicating configurations of hardware, software, data, permissions, etc.
• Providing development, maintenance, and communication of diagrams, system configurations, and technical documentation.
• Providing technical support for testing and evaluation.
• Responsible for the full lifecycle of design through implementation of enterprise solutions.
• Create prototypes and perform technology evaluations.
• Ensures Windows application hosts and SQL database hosts comply with security standards.
• Works with information assurance teams to ensure system accreditation.
• Plans for and performs required Windows server configuration changes.
• Analyzes monitoring data for performance optimization opportunities.
• Develops and implements system performance monitoring processes.
• Maintains current industry knowledge of development concepts and best practices for server operations.
• Works as part of a team on client engagements.
