Job summary

AAR is seeking a System Administrator in Wood Dale, IL to design, deploy, and support our Windows server, VMware, and cloud–hybrid infrastructure across 75 sites.

You will manage Active Directory, backups, and security configurations, implement automation, and collaborate with IT colleagues. This role relocates to Chicago Merchandise Mart in 2027, with travel to other AAR locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with VMware, Windows Server, and SAN technologies.
• Proficient in patching, security configurations, and disaster recovery.
• Strong teamwork and willingness to travel to other AAR locations.
• Ability to design, deploy, and support enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Builds, installs, and manages physical and virtual server environments.
• Manage Microsoft Server components: Active Directory, certificate services, IIS.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and apply security updates.
• Install and configure applications; monitor backups and recovery plans.
• Use monitoring software to create dashboards, reports, and alerts.
• Collaborate with IT staff on intradepartmental projects.
