Systems Administrator SME

CACI is seeking a Subject-Matter Expert Systems Administrator to play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of mission-critical systems, enhancing decision-making and command and control for key leaders within the command. This position requires in-depth technical knowledge, strategic problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.

Responsibilities:
  1. Possesses domain and expert technical knowledge in installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades, including to cloud resources.
  2. Provides support and technical expertise in systems technology, including virtual hardware and cloud capabilities.
  3. Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves system hardware, software, and networking issues.
  4. Monitors response times, evaluates user satisfaction levels, and makes recommendations for system improvements.
  5. Interfaces with vendors, government, and technical staff on technical solutions, system implementation, optimization, and ongoing management.
  6. Guides and performs build, configuration, testing, and documentation tasks related to enterprise system resources.
  7. Supports Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) and other system outages as needed.
  8. Decision-making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
  9. Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) as required by mission needs.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned by leadership to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives. Depending on experience and team structure, may involve working under direct supervision or providing guidance, training, or supervision to others.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 7 years in systems administration within a complex, secure environment; experience in military or defense sectors is highly desirable.
  3. Required 8140 Certification: 451 - Intermediate; Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC; OR applicable degree from an ABET-accredited/CAE-designated program; OR relevant training.
  4. Proficient in various operating systems (Windows, Linux) and virtualization technologies.
  5. Strong understanding of network protocols and security measures.
  6. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  7. Clearance Required: Top Secret with SCI eligibility.

Pay Range

Proposed salary range: $78,000 - $163,800. Factors influencing salary include location, experience, skills, education, and certifications. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, education, and time off. Learn more here.
