Job summary

TekSynap seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to ensure stable operation of in-house software systems and network connections across multiple locations including Columbus, OH. The role emphasizes planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading critical infrastructure and applications.

Ten years of experience and hands-on capability in DoD/IC federal environments are required, with extensive exposure to contract environments and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years specialized experience, with at least four (4) years hands-on installing, configuring, maintaining and resolving issues with various software.
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments (IC/DoD/Federal Civil agencies).
• Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with in-depth understanding of customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections, including planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links.
• Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems.
• Analyzes and resolves end user software program and connectivity issues.
• Conducts capacity and performance analysis and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.
• Increases system administrator efficiency and accuracy via automated tools and scripts, develops procedures, and conducts training and skills assessments.
• Provides end user training.
• Provides recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision.
• Provides local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location; includes upgrades and new installs of servers and applications.
• Directs the work of other system administrators to deliver day-to-day system administration, optimization, and user assistance.
• Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing, and performs vulnerability management.

Experience

Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES
