Job Description

GDIT is looking for a System Administrator-Azure (DevOps Engineer) to join our team’s effort to modernize 12 US Government spectrum and frequency management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage distributed and managed services, automate installation, configuration, and maintenance of platform services.
• Manage system tuning for reliability and efficiency, guide software releases, support users, and troubleshoot system issues.
• Perform administrative operations on server hardware and software, ensure system security, and stay current with technological developments.
• Plan, design, and build system images with operating systems and applications.
• Update and patch systems, test and provision systems, and integrate applications with organizational services.
• Identify and resolve system errors, orchestrate patching and updates using tools like SCCM, MECM, and BigFix.
• Work with ISO and ISSO to ensure compliance with government standards, including patches and STIGs.
• Develop advanced technical solutions, create training materials, monitor system performance, and lead backup and recovery efforts.
• Develop security plans and provide guidance to less experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience in Agile development teams and DevOps methodologies.
• Bachelor's Degree with 6-10 years of experience.
• Experience in Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, and release management.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of network security, hardware, software, and tools like Git, GitHub, Databricks.
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to work in mission-critical environments.

Additional Details

Remote location, US Citizenship required, Active Secret clearance required to start, ability to obtain Secret clearance, less than 10% travel, salary range $97,063 - $131,321.
