Job summary

Etna Supply, a leading Midwest distributor of plumbing and related products, seeks an experienced Systems Administrator to support and secure our technology infrastructure. The role covers Azure, Microsoft 365, user devices, data warehouse systems, and enterprise Linux/Unix environments across multiple locations.

You will maintain critical systems, assist end users, support disaster recovery and backups, and contribute to reliable IT services throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; five years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
  • Virtualization experience required: Vmware or Hyper-V.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange Hybrid, Microsoft Intune and SCCM.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Stack HCI and Microsoft 365.
  • Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Unix environments.
  • Working knowledge of Internet Information Services (IIS).
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical support skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot Windows servers, Exchange, and related systems.
  • Manage and monitor backups for company computers.
  • Configure and maintain disaster recovery solutions with third-party vendors.
  • Configure and manage mobile device policies for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.
  • Support company and subsidiary websites and email systems.
  • Standardize and configure hardware and software.
  • Provide technical support to end users across the organization.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access.
  • Train IT team members on systems and daily operations.
  • Assist with IT policies and procedures development and implementation.
  • Monitor support activities, resolve concerns, and suggest improvements.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Assist with IT projects and responsibilities as needed.

Job Summary:

The Systems Administrator provides hands-on support for the company’s technology infrastructure, including Azure systems, Microsoft 365, user devices, data warehouse systems, and enterprise Linux/Unix environments. This position maintains critical systems, assists end users, supports disaster recovery and backup operations, and helps ensure reliable and secure technology services throughout the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide enterprise and or automation support for Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune and SCCM
  • Maintain and troubleshoot servers Windows and Exchange, Microsoft 365 applications, and related technology systems.
  • Manage and monitor backups for company computer systems.
  • Configure and maintain disaster recovery solutions in partnership with third-party vendors.
  • Configure and manage mobile device policies for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.
  • Support company and subsidiary websites and email systems.
  • Standardize and configure hardware and software.
  • Provide technical support to end users across the organization.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access.
  • Train IT team members on systems, software, hardware, and daily operations.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Monitor support activities, resolve concerns, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Assist with additional IT projects and responsibilities as needed.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; five years of related experience and training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Network+, MCSE, and virtualization certifications are preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, grasp, handle objects, and use fingers.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, crouch, climb, push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position in a consistent state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Requires the ability to clearly view computer screens and other materials at close range.
  • Work is performed primarily indoors in a moderate-noise environment.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment substance abuse screening.
