Job summary

Leidos Defense Sensors in Huntsville, AL seeks a System Administrator to support missile defense projects within the BMD Simulations and Analysis Portfolio. The role covers management of unclassified and classified environments across Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms, with emphasis on daily admin tasks and incident response.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem‑solving skills, be a team player, and hold U.S. Citizenship with an active secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible or similar technology.
• Demonstrated experience in Azure/AWS or similar technology.
• 3+ Years’ experience with Linux Operating System Administration (i.e., RHEL8).
• Security+ Certification or obtain within 90‑days of start.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily system administration and O&M support in a complex physical and virtual environment.
• Sustainment of existing computing and network systems.
• Monitor infrastructure systems, applications and processes; track and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide hardware and software issue resolution and ISSM-guided support.
• Maintain documentation to assist incident resolution and support IT enhancements.
