Job summary

ORBIS Inc. seeks a Senior IT Systems Administrator to support NAVSEA TEAM SUB and related program offices. You will administer daily computer networks, install upgrades, manage security tools, and train staff. A strong background in systems administration and Navy/DOD familiarity is required.

U.S. citizenship and a Secret clearance are required. A BS/BA in engineering or IT and 10+ years of relevant experience are highly desirable. Competitive benefits accompany a professional work environment.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools such as firewalls and IDS.
• Train staff on software applicable to their position.
• Assist customers with information technology and monitor system configuration.

Job Description: * Provide support to NAVSEA Team Submarine (TEAM SUB) Submarine Ship Building (SHAPM) Program Offices and supporting organizations: PMS 397 - COLUMBIA Class Submarine Program Office, PMS 450 - VIRGINIA Class Submarine Program Office, PMS 351 - Future Attack Submarine (SSN(X)) Program Office, and SEA 05Z - Marine Engineering Competency Domain.

• TEAM SUB is a combination of Program Executive Office (PEO) Strategic Submarine (PEO SSBN), PEO Attack Submarines (PEO SSN), and PEO Undersea Warfare Systems (PEO UWS) and the Direct Reporting Program Office, AUKUS Integration & Acquisition Office (AUKUS). The TEAM SUB concept divides the single submarine-centric organization into specific PEOs with the goal of enhancing the structures and processes in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Required Skills and Experience: Capable of performing the following functions: * Administer and support daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.
• Install hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services.
• Train staff on software applicable to their position.
• Assist customers with information technology.
• Monitor system configuration (hardware and software).
• Provide instruction on computers and applications.
• Typical Experience: 10 years professional experience in systems administration.
• Typical Experience: Cyber WorkForce (CWF) certifications.
• Desired: Min of 10 yrs experience with DOD acquisition / In-Service Programs.
• Desired: Min of 10 yrs experience with Navy Programs.
• Desired: Must be capable of leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer.
• Desired: Must have relatable database work experience.
• Desired: Minimum of 5 years experience working with submarine/combat systems.
• Desired: Information Technology system operations and maintenance experience. Degree Requirements: * Preferred: BS/BA Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• Must be a U.S. citizen
