Responsibilities for this internship position are:
Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has developed the Northrop Grumman – Military Internship Program (DoD SkillBridge) utilizing the DoDI guidance for SkillBridge. During this program, the service member will be on-site at his or her host company performing an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career type role. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week.
Basic Qualifications for Level 2
Bachelor's degree with 3 years experience, Master's with 1 year experience, or 7 years experience in lieu of degree
Meets all other basic qualifications
Basic Qualifications for Level 3
Bachelor's degree with 6 years experience, Master's with 4 years experience, or 10 years experience in lieu of degree
Meets all other basic qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
IAT Level II (Security+) or higher certification with related Systems Administration experience
Basic troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration-level experience
Experience with Windows (Client and Server) administration-level experience
Understanding of virtual environments consisting of VMWare technology
General knowledge of security disciplines in physical and computer security
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
US citizen with a final Secret clearance
Meets DoD SkillBridge qualifications as per DODI 1322.29
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience implementing DISA STIGs against hardware and Operating Systems
Experience implementing and maintaining DoD’s Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
Experience administering Cisco routers, switches, and adaptive security appliances
Experience maintaining and administering Microsoft Active Directory
Thorough understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Experience implementing technologies to support the continuous monitoring of required security controls
Familiarity with the JFHQ-DODIN’s Cyber Operations Readiness Assessment (CORA) process
Experience with developing, maintaining, and updating POA&Ms
Experience with ensuring proper measures are taken when a system incident or vulnerability is discovered
Attention to detail with the ability to quickly learn new procedures
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Familiarity with Atlassian suite
Top Secret / SCI clearance
Salary Range: $72,100 - $108,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
