Responsibilities for this internship position are:

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has developed the Northrop Grumman – Military Internship Program (DoD SkillBridge) utilizing the DoDI guidance for SkillBridge. During this program, the service member will be on-site at his or her host company performing an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career type role. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years experience, Master's with 1 year experience, or 7 years experience in lieu of degree

• Meets all other basic qualifications

Basic Qualifications for Level 3

• Bachelor's degree with 6 years experience, Master's with 4 years experience, or 10 years experience in lieu of degree

• Meets all other basic qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• IAT Level II (Security+) or higher certification with related Systems Administration experience

• Basic troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently

• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration-level experience

• Experience with Windows (Client and Server) administration-level experience

• Understanding of virtual environments consisting of VMWare technology

• General knowledge of security disciplines in physical and computer security

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• US citizen with a final Secret clearance

• Meets DoD SkillBridge qualifications as per DODI 1322.29

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience implementing DISA STIGs against hardware and Operating Systems

• Experience implementing and maintaining DoD’s Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

• Experience administering Cisco routers, switches, and adaptive security appliances

• Experience maintaining and administering Microsoft Active Directory

• Thorough understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF)

• Experience implementing technologies to support the continuous monitoring of required security controls

• Familiarity with the JFHQ-DODIN’s Cyber Operations Readiness Assessment (CORA) process

• Experience with developing, maintaining, and updating POA&Ms

• Experience with ensuring proper measures are taken when a system incident or vulnerability is discovered

• Attention to detail with the ability to quickly learn new procedures

• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

• Familiarity with Atlassian suite

• Top Secret / SCI clearance

Salary Range: $72,100 - $108,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
