Peraton is seeking a systems engineer to monitor health, troubleshoot, maintain storage, and collaborate across hardware, network, and infrastructure teams. The role includes rotating after-hours on-call and ensuring security requirements are met.

You will manage Linux-based systems, containerized apps, and NoSQL environments, with focus on large clusters (>400 nodes) and cloud workloads in AWS, onsite at customer facilities in the US Virginian region.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Active Security+ Certification is required.
• Experience managing systems in AWS environments.
• Experience with large clusters and containerized apps.
• Experience with Linux-based hardware platforms.
• Ability to work with OpenSource NoSQL products.

Responsabilidades

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: monitor system health, troubleshoot system problems, maintain storage systems, interface with other parts of the team for hardware, network, and infrastructure support, provide after-hours on-call/call-in support on a rotational basis, ensure system security requirements are satisfied, create/maintain system scripts, patch/upgrade system, and administer user accounts.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of relevant experience considered in lieu of the degree requirement
• Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
• Active Security+ Certification
• Experience with managing systems in AWS
• Experience managing and monitoring large clusters (>400 nodes) and containerized applications
• Experience with Linux-based hardware platforms
• Ability to work with OpenSource (NoSQL) products
• Ability to work Full-Time, Onsite; No Remote/Hyrbid schedule available

Desired Qualifications:

• Technical experience and knowledge of distributed storage networks, routing and application messaging frameworks
• Experience provisioning and sustaining network infrastructures and have experience developing operations and management networks required to operate in a secure PKI, IPSEC, or VPN enabled environment
• Experience with NiFi, HA Proxy, Docker, Kubernetes, Spark, and Elasticsearch
• Experience developing, operations, and managing networks required to operate in a secure PKI, IPSEC, or VPN enabled environment
• Experience with Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
• Experience with Certifcation & Accreditation

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
