Job summary

Peraton seeks a Cloud System Administrator in Annapolis, MD to support a mission-critical enterprise service delivering software security solutions across customer enclaves.

The role uses a cloud-based platform with microservices and containerized tech to enable secure, scalable, and resilient operations. You will join a collaborative Operations team and work with cross-agency stakeholders on enterprise capabilities for national security missions.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience with three (3) years cloud experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• Security+ or comparable certification required.
• Cloud System/Service Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, deploy, secure, and sustain a cloud-based microservice solution.
• Support software engineering design, development, testing, and sustainment.
• Contribute to architecture reviews and plan timelines and scope.
• Troubleshoot and resolve testing and production issues.
• Support customers across the mission space.
• Collaborate to review and refine software and system updates.

Responsibilities

About the Role: Peraton is seeking a Cloud System Administrator to support a mission-critical enterprise service delivering software security solutions across customer enclaves.

This role supports a cloud-based platform leveraging microservices and containerized technologies to enable security, scalable, and resilient operations.

The engineer will work within a collaborative team environment, partnering with cross-agency stakeholders to design, develop, and sustain enterprise operational capabilities in support of national security missions. Team is sourcing for a System Administrator that will join the Operations team. There is NO on call for this operations team.

What You'll do:

• Key performer on the Operations team to monitor, maintain, deploy, secure, and sustain a cloud-based microservice built software solution
• Support the software engineering team with their design, development, testing, and sustainment of the software products.
• Contribute to architecture and design reviews, and assist in shaping technical approaches, timelines, and project scope.
• Troubleshoot and resolve testing, and production issues
• Support customers across the customer mission space
• Collaborate with team members to review and refine software, and system updates

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Five (5) years experience is required with three (3) years being cloud experience. A bachelor's degree in engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics is required from an accredited college or university.
• Education Equivalency: Seven (7) years of Linux Systems Administration experience, with three (3) years of cloud may be substituted for the required bachelor's degree.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• Security+ plus or comparable is required.
• Cloud System/Service Certification is required.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
