Position Overview

QSS is seeking a Systems Administrator with a DevOps focus to support the maintenance of legacy applications and assist in the transition to a new system architecture. The ideal candidate will be a skilled technologist with a strong background in cloud-agnostic environments, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines. This is a mission-critical role based in Reston, VA, and requires a TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.

Key Responsibilities

•Support and maintain legacy applications while contributing to the development ofa modern system architecture.

•Enhance DevOps processes, implement CI/CD pipelines, and integrate automatedtesting tools.

•Manage and deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.

•Work in agile teams to deliver solutions that meet mission and technicalrequirements.

•Develop and maintain infrastructure scripts and tooling for cloud-agnosticdeployments.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support secure, scalable, andautomated solutions.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

•5+ years of DevOps experience.

•3+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.

•3+ years of experience with Kubernetes and Docker.

• Proven experience supporting cloud-agnostic environments.

• Integration of automated testing tools into CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency in Linux operating systems.

• Experience scripting and automating cloud service functions.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Proficient in Git for version control.

Education Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

• Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building security-hardened container images.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

• Exposure to secure government or intelligence community environments.
