Job summary

Nightwing expands its System Administration team to support an enterprise digitization infrastructure. The role focuses on cloud engineering and system administration across AWS, Linux, and related automation tools within a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will help manage security, accreditation, and virtualization across AWS/Azure/VMware, contributing to resilient cloud operations and enterprise workflows. TS/SCI w Polygraph is required Day 1.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS and Linux in production.
• Experience patching and maintaining databases (RDS, MySQL, Oracle).
• Proven experience troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
• Knowledge of Federated Identity, RBAC, authentication & authorization.
• Understanding of secure-cloud configuration (CloudTrail, AWS Config) and cloud-security tech (VPC, Security Groups) and IAM.
• Experience with configuration management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Security experience (NGFW, WAF, SIEM, endpoint security).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT related field or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience working and solving technical problems independently as a system administrator.
• Experience using a scripting language.
• Experience monitoring/troubleshooting enterprise workflow applications (installing, starting, stopping background processes, analyzing logs).
• Experience creating/managing a virtual infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Hyper-V, VMWare).
• TS/SCI w Polygraph Required.

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator/Cloud Engineer to enhance our existing technical team supporting the advancement of Digitization technologies in Warrenton, VA. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, innovative, cloud engineer to join in and contribute to a team environment. The candidate will be part of a team that supports the cloud infrastructure for an enterprise environment. This position requires a broad knowledge of system administration, knowledge of automation technologies, and scripting. This position also requires a knowledge of security and accreditation practices and procedures the ability to work with several enterprise resources and teams in the operation of an enterprise digitization infrastructure. Mandatory Skills:

• Must have hands-on experience with AWS and Linux in a production environment.

TS/SCI w Polygraph Required Day 1 Salary & Benefits The salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
