Velocity Work is seeking a part-time AI Systems Operator to own the day-to-day health and progress of our AI stack. You are not a traditional developer. AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex) write and maintain our code.

Your job is to keep that system running, move projects forward on a regular cadence, and take technical and operational load off the founder's plate. Think of it as a technical project manager in an environment where AI agents do the coding.

Position Overview

We're looking for a part-time AI Systems Operator to own the day-to-day health and progress of our AI stack. You are not a traditional developer. AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex) write and maintain our code. Your job is to keep that system running, move projects forward on a regular cadence, and take technical and operational load off the founder's plate.

Think of it as a technical project manager in an environment where AI agents do the coding. You'll check in during set windows each week, make sure everything is working, fix or eliminate what isn't, and push AI initiatives forward reliably.

• Agent harnesses: Hermes (Nous Research), OpenClaw

• Models: Claude, OpenAI, and open-source models

• Coding agents: Claude Code, Codex

• Apps: Custom-built, mostly Next.js

• Hosting/infra: Railway, Vercel

• Source of truth: GitHub

• Team tools: ChatGPT desktop/mobile, Google Workspace, automation tools

Terms

This is an independent contractor role. You provide your own equipment, handle your own taxes and insurance, and follow our confidentiality requirements. Hours are flexible within agreed weekly windows, with some overlap with US Mountain Time.
