Overview

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Systems Administrator/Systems Administrator to maintain and enhance Linux systems and infrastructure onsite for the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC). Successful candidates will demonstrate strong technical skills to achieve high availability, security, and integrity for the operating environment, and will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance Linux systems and infrastructure on site for NSIC.
• Ensure high availability, security, and integrity of the operating environment.
• Collaborate with teammates to support the National Space Intelligence Center.
• Gain experience in Windows administration, network, and hardware management.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience, or
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 0 years of experience;
• Active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information;
• IAT Level II certification such as Security+ or SecurityX;
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Core Qualifications for Systems Administrator

• High school diploma or GED equivalent with 6 years relevant experience (may substitute for degree), or
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 2 years related experience;
• Same security clearance and certification requirements as above.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Linux or Windows systems administration.
• Experience with security compliance and related scanning products.
• Experience with enterprise backup and restore solutions, SAN, and NAS.
• Experience scripting with Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
• Experience network administration and related infrastructure.
• Experience installing and maintaining hardware, including firmware upgrades.

Salary and Benefits

• Primary Level Salary Range: $63,000.00 – $94,600.00.
• Secondary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 – $113,800.00.
• Potential eligibility for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives for higher roles.
• Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off.
