General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the health, maintenance and operation of systems, software, and MAAS capabilities. The role operates on a 3rd shift (10:00 PM–6:00 AM) at a customer site near Tysons Corner, with a TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance requirement.

You will troubleshoot Tier 1 issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to secure, efficient system performance in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
Minimum 3 years related experience.
Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or related field, OR equivalent 3 years of experience.
Proficient with Windows Server 2016/2019 and SQL Server versions listed.
Experience with VMware vSphere 6+ and related hardware.
Scripting and batch file skills; ability to modify/create files.
Strong communication and cross-team collaboration in a 24/7 environment.
Experience with MAAS and video processing is highly desirable.

Job description

General Dynamics Information Technology has an immediate opening for a Systems Administrator. You’ll apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Systems Administrator at GDIT. The candidate is a systems administrator with a strong aptitude to troubleshoot Tier 1 technical problems in real-time both independently and within a team environment. The selected candidate will work a shift to support 24/7 operations alongside various teams and perform technical activities that impact the health, maintenance, and running of systems, software, and applications, including our FMV exploitation capabilities: the Multi-INT Analysis and Archiving System (MAAS). This position requires 3rd Shift work - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Night shift differential included.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, a self-starter who does not need training in system administration/Tier 1 support fundamentals, and flexible enough to work on a variety of different tasks and technologies.
Experience with MAAS, Video processing and distribution experience, and SOP creation and maintenance is highly desirable.
