Job summary

Tech Army, LLC in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Systems Administrator to serve as the principal point of contact for the project team. Responsibilities include managing Azure Entra ID, Active Directory, Azure resources, and AWS services to ensure optimal performance and security.

The role requires strong scripting with PowerShell, experience with DNS, Group Policy, Linux servers, and collaboration with data center staff to deploy, upgrade, and configure systems.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five (5) years of Windows server administration experience with three (3) years administering Windows 2016 and newer.
• A minimum of three (3) years of Microsoft Azure and two (2) years of AWS experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years administering Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy in environments with over 1,000 users.
• A minimum of three (3) years of Linux server management.
• Demonstrated experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts.
• Proven track record installing, maintaining, and supporting third-party applications in virtual and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory management activities.

• Develop, deploy, and maintain processes that optimize AWS services and resources.
• Analyze Azure resource performance to identify resource contention and recommend changes or upgrades as needed to ensure optimization.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation.
• Work with data center staff, Client, and users to perform resource deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Administer and configure Azure infrastructure security as needed for Client staff and users.
• Assist Azure application owners, administrators, and users with appropriate application access.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Windows server issues with minimal impact on users.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Linux server issues with minimal impact on users.
• Write PowerShell scripts to be used to monitor server properties and perform Active Directory and Azure management activities.
• Research and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet functional requirements.
• Provide recommendations for possible process improvements within the Department's infrastructure team.
• Create schedules for the development and implementation of specific software systems; and
• Perform additional Systems Administrator tasks as required by the Department.

Required Qualification

sA bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience is required. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis when applicable
