Job summary

AAC is seeking a hands-on, on-site Tier 3 IT specialist in Washington, DC to support Microsoft systems and Azure cloud services. You will build, deploy, and troubleshoot information systems within the Microsoft stack, monitor incidents, and participate in technology projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, proficiency with AD, Entra ID, Intune, SCCM, Windows, and security hardening. Strong scripting with PowerShell and the ability to manage multiple priorities is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of IT experience including end-user systems and systems administration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies: AD, Entra ID, Intune, SCCM, Windows, 365, Teams.
• Experience with enterprise management tools (InTune, SCCM, ManageEngine Endpoint Central).
• Automation experience with PowerShell and scripting.
• Experience Windows on-premises, virtual, and Azure cloud.
• Knowledge of CIS Benchmarks and Windows security hardening.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain agency public trust before start.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 3 technical support for Microsoft systems. Build, implement, and troubleshoot information systems within the Microsoft technology stack, including Microsoft Azure cloud technologies. Research and report on new technologies and their potential value to the organization.

Requires on-site support 5 days per week and occasional after-hours outage support.

Required Experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• 3-5 years of relevant IT experience, including end-user systems and systems administration; at least 3 years must be specific to systems administration supporting Microsoft technologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, SCCM, the Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with enterprise management tools such as Microsoft InTune, Microsoft SCCM, and ManageEngine Endpoint Central.
• Demonstrated experience automating administrative tasks and workflows using PowerShell and similar scripting/automation tools.
• Demonstrated systems administration experience in Windows physical, virtual, and Azure cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of CIS Benchmarks and Windows security hardening practices.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
• Must be a US citizen and must obtain an agency public trust suitability determination prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure and Windows Server certifications and other relevant industry certifications.
• Security-related certifications (e.g., Security+, GSEC, or similar).
• Experience supporting a nationwide mid-sized Federal agency enterprise.
