J5 Consulting, a Maryland-based company, is seeking a DEVOPS-focused professional to maintain legacy applications and support the transition to a new system architecture. Location is the Reston area, and the role is onsite within the Washington Metropolitan Area.

Candidates should have 5+ years in DevOps, 3+ years CI/CD, Kubernetes and Docker, Linux, Git, and Agile experience, plus cloud-agnostic skills. US citizenship and an active Top Secret with Full Scope Polygraph are required.

Qualifications

Job Overview: Available Immediately

Introduction

This is a DEVOPS focused position. Assist with maintenance of existing legacy applications and support the transition to a new system architecture. Location is the Reston area. Location is Reston area

Required skills and demonstrated experience:

• Demonstrated 5+ yrs of DevOps experience
• Demonstrated 3+ years of Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) experience
• Demonstrated 3+ years of Kubernetes and Docker experience
• Demonstrated experience in supporting cloud agnostic environments
• Demonstrated experience in integrating automatic test tools into the CI/CD pipeline
• Demonstrated experience with Linux Operating Systems
• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining complex functions and scripts in support of cloud services
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Proficiency with Git

Highly desired, though not required, include:

• Experience with building security hardened images
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools e.g.Terraform

Travel:

• This position is expected to be onsite. The position will be located within the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA). Local travel/POV will be on an as needed basis, within the local place of performance
