Piper Companies is seeking a Systems Administrator in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area for a growing technology organization. This hybrid role requires 2 days onsite in the RTP office and supports a complex lab environment across servers, networks, and security tasks.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of IT infrastructure experience, strong Windows/Linux skills, and solid networking and cybersecurity fundamentals to maintain uptime and drive security initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on IT infrastructure experience supporting servers, networks, and security technologies.
• Experience administering Windows and/or Linux server environments in an enterprise setting.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, identity and access management, and vulnerability management.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex lab and testing environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure lab environment availability.

The Systems Administrator role is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite in the RTP office. The Systems Administrator will support and maintain a complex lab environment while assisting with server, network, and security administration activities. An ideal candidate for the Systems Administrator role is a versatile IT professional with broad infrastructure experience and a strong foundation across systems, networking, and cybersecurity technologies.

Compensation for the Systems Administrator includes:

• Salary range: $80,000 – $110,000 depending on experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave as required by law
