Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, Server Administration, or a related IT role.
• Strong experience with Active Directory, including account administration, permissions management, and Group Policy exposure.
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, or Exchange is highly preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting authentication, access, server, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Exposure to virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, or hybrid environments is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while partnering with technical teams.

Responsibilities

The Junior Systems Administrator position is ideal for someone with solid systems administration experience who is looking to grow their infrastructure and enterprise technology skillset beyond end-user support. This opportunity starts as a 12-month contract with strong potential for extension and the possibility of converting to a full-time employee based on performance and business needs. The role follows a hybrid schedule, requiring 2 days per week onsite in RTP (Research Triangle Park), with the remaining days working remotely.

Responsibilities of the Junior Systems Administrator:

Qualifications of the Junior Systems Administrator:

• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
• 2+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, Server Administration, or a related IT role.
• Strong experience with Active Directory, including account administration, permissions management, and Group Policy exposure.
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, or Exchange is highly preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting authentication, access, server, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Exposure to virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, or hybrid environments is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while partnering with technical teams.

Compensation for the Junior Systems Administrator Includes:

• Base salary of $90,000 - $115,000, depending on experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and sick leave as required by law
