Job summary

A leading IT services provider is seeking a Systems Administrator to support their contract at PEO STRI in Orlando, FL. The successful candidate will maintain and configure IT systems, implement security policies, and troubleshoot technical issues. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and IAT Level II certification are required. Position: Systems Administrator to support our contract at PEO STRI in Orlando, FL.

Base pay

$65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems, networks, and servers. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, implementing security measures, and supporting end users to ensure the organization's IT infrastructure runs efficiently and securely.
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and applications.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure the availability and reliability of IT infrastructure.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, including patches, updates, and backups.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory or other identity management platforms.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely support to end users.
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist with planning and executing system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
Required Qualifications
  • IAT Level II certification such as CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, or macOS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with DISA STIGs and federal security compliance standards.
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) preferred.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) a plus.
