Job summary

Novae LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator to support, troubleshoot, maintain, and secure its IT infrastructure across network, servers, and workstations. You will ensure reliable data access and smooth operation for users.

Responsibilities include configuring and securing servers, managing network devices, and guiding users on security best practices. A CS/IT degree with 2+ years' networking experience is required; strong communication and a customer-service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or IT or equivalent demonstrated skills.
• 2+ years as a technician in the computer networking field, including data and server administration.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, configure workstations, peripherals, and software. Manage user permissions and access to ensure all employees have the technology and equipment to be successful.
• Manage the maintenance and security of servers. Maintain file storage and access controls. Replace and upgrade infrastructure components.
• Configure and manage network devices. Plan and implement network changes. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly.
• Research security protocols regularly, staying abreast of the most successful protection protocols. Recommend updates based on research. Implement the latest security protocols to safeguard systems. Train users on best practices for security of systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise. Log tasks and problem resolutions into the system. Look for trends to potentially identify concerns before the problems become more serious.
• Provide excellent customer service in the execution of responsibilities. Listen to and interpret customer requests to execute requests. Develop, track and complete tasks for multiple projects under prescribed timeframes. Follow up with customers to ensure the issue has been resolved.
• Collaborate with IT team to identify new technologies and processes that continuously improve our systems. Maintain and update existing technical resources and checklists.
