Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with a leading energy provider, is seeking a Systems Administrator of Operational Technology to support mission-critical OT infrastructure. This engineer will administer Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, support enterprise monitoring and security platforms, and help maintain highly available systems powering critical utility operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years administering Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Strong Active Directory administration experience.
• Enterprise networking fundamentals (switching, routing, DNS, TCP/IP).
• Experience supporting backup, endpoint protection, and infrastructure monitoring platforms.
• Experience with Veeam, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Tripwire, PRTG, or similar technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Linux, virtualization, and infrastructure.
• Experience creating technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Previous experience in regulated or critical infrastructure environments is preferred.
• NERC CIP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
• Perform OS patching and lifecycle management.
• Support Active Directory administration.
• Troubleshoot server, application, and infrastructure issues.
• Support enterprise backup, monitoring, and endpoint security platforms.
• Deploy and maintain PRTG monitoring.
• Assist with switch replacements and infrastructure projects.
• Perform incident response and root cause analysis.
• Maintain operational documentation.
• Support NERC CIP compliance initiatives.
