Hartman Executive Advisors is seeking a Systems Administrator contractor to support a wholesale supplier client. The role focuses on configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of business systems, servers, and networks with high availability and security in mind.

Responsibilities include OS installation, virtualization, access management, backups, disaster recovery testing, and security monitoring. Requires 2-5+ years in system administration and a BS in IT or related field.

Formación

• 2-5+ years of experience in system administration.
• Experience administering Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Cloud familiarity with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.

Summary
We are looking for a contractor resource for approximately 24 hours/week (3 days on-site per week) that will be supporting one of Hartman's Wholesale Supplier clients as a Systems Administrator responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of business systems, servers, and networks. This role ensures high availability and performance of business applications while maintaining system security, backups, and upgrades.
Responsibilities

1. System Installation & Configuration

• Install and configure operating systems (Windows, Linux, or Unix).
• Set up servers, storage, and virtualization platforms.
• Deploy and manage enterprise software and services.

2. System Maintenance

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Maintain system documentation and procedures.

3. User and Access Management

• Create and manage user accounts and permissions.
• Support identity management tools such as Active Directory.
• Enforce security policies and access controls.

4. Network & Infrastructure Support

• Manage network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Maintain server hardware, cloud infrastructure, and data centers.
• Coordinate with network engineers and IT teams.

5. Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Implement and manage backup solutions.
• Test disaster recovery procedures.
• Ensure data integrity and business continuity.

6. Security & Compliance

• Monitor system security and apply patches.
• Manage firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint security tools.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

7. Troubleshooting & Support

• Diagnose hardware and software issues.
• Provide technical support to internal teams.
• Respond to system outages and incidents.
